First built in 1862, at the height of
the goldrush era, the cottage began as a one room saddlery. The
original structure has seen many changes and additions over time and
until most recently, was all but lost to a distant past.
Saddler's Cottage is now the perfect retreat and setting for
couples, wanting to escape the desperation of the city and embrace
the wealth of the goldfields and Pyrenees wine growers' region.
